FAQ

What types of medical bills can you help with?

Hospital bills, emergency room visits, surgery centers, urgent care, imaging, specialist bills, and collections accounts. If the bill is medical and the balance feels too high, I can evaluate it.

What if I do not understand my bill?

That’s OK, most people don’t. Medical billing is built on codes, modifiers, facility fees, and markups that most people never see. You just upload the documents and I will handle the review.

How do you decide whether to take a case?

I review the bill and look for patterns that indicate inflated pricing, coding issues, or leverage points for negotiation. If I believe there is a realistic chance of reducing the balance, I take the case. If not, I tell you upfront.

Do you give me corrected numbers before I hire you?

No. During the initial review I determine whether the case is strong enough. Corrected totals and negotiation work begin after you hire me.

What happens once I hire you?

You sign a standard HIPAA release so I can communicate directly with the provider. I handle all calls, emails, and negotiations with the billing office or collections team.

How much do you charge?

You only pay if I lower what you owe. My fee comes from the savings. If your bill does not go down, you pay nothing.

Is my information secure?

Yes. All documents are uploaded through a secure, HIPAA compliant system. I only access the information needed to negotiate your bill.

How long does the process take?

Timing depends on the provider. Some bills are resolved in days. Others take longer because hospitals move slowly. I handle all follow ups and push the process forward.

Can you help if my bill is already in collections?

Yes. In many cases there is still room to negotiate. Collections agencies often use inflated starting numbers.

Will negotiating my bill hurt my credit?

No. My negotiation process does not impact your credit. If your account is already in collections, resolving the balance at the reduced amount helps close it out.

Do I need to talk to the provider myself?

No. Once you hire me and sign the HIPAA release, I take over communication. If the provider needs anything specific from you, I let you know.

What documents should I upload?

At minimum, the bill or statement showing the charges. Extras like itemized bills or your Explanation of Benefits help, but are not required.

Do you work with insured and uninsured patients?

Yes. Insurance does not prevent billing errors or inflated charges.

Can you help with multiple bills from the same visit?

Yes. Hospitals often split charges into different bills. Upload everything and I will review it as one case.
